Claytor Lake, March 18, Club Tournament

I did pretty terrible Sunday.  Per the dock talk everything Sean and I tried caught fish, it seems like we just tried it all at the wrong time. I don’t want to go into the gory details. The one bright spot came with about 3 minutes left while I was flipping a jig into a dock that had another dock pushed around it to form a square. I stuck our lone keeper and flipped him out over 5 feet of dock and then went Ike (as much as I ever would).  I wrote a bit about the winners over at Central VA Bass Cast, you can read it here.

This weekend I might experience South Holston smallmouth for a bit. And after that it will be time to practice for the B.A.S.S. Regional on Smith Mountain Lake.

Reach for it Dave!
Thought it was a hawg for a second

  1. Dang! Glad you got out on the water, though, and guess it was one of those lessons-tournaments.
